EVENTS & SCHEDULES – CANCELLATIONS AND REVISIONS
The conferenceSt. John of the Cross and Visions scheduled for April 4th, has been CANCELLED.
Due to most recent guidelines, the Discalced Carmelite Friars have made the difficult decision to cancel all public liturgy at Little Flower Basilica. We are actively working with Little Flower Administration on making the liturgy available to parishioners and the public via social media.
In addition to the liturgy, we will be implementing the following restrictions:Funerals will need to adhere to the size limit of 10 (including priest, organist, funeral home staff and family.) An option to consider would be to have a committal service in place of the Mass, and when the crisis situation is over, a Memorial Mass could be celebrated.Weddings will need to adhere to the size limit of 10 (including priest, organist, couple and family.)Baptisms will need to adhere to the size limit of 10 (including priest, child and family.)Triduum: Little Flower priests will celebrate the Triduum but it will not be a public liturgy. We will work on live streaming on social media for the benefit of the faithful. More details coming soon.RCIA Elect and/or Candidates: Arrangements will be made to administer the Initiation Sacraments to them in the Vigil Mass and Masses of the Octave of Easter, or even throughout the Easter season. The limits on the size of the congregation should be respected at these celebrations. More details coming soon.Confirmation: Candidates for Confirmation already baptized in the Catholic Church will receive the sacrament in the fall at an event to be scheduled at a later date. Please visit the Little Flower Basilica's website for more information.
